I just got pwnd dang it!

[Joedaddy 2009-05-13 13:49:03]:

Eric is my roommate I've been to every fight except for 2 and I guarantee you he IS NOT in fight shape. (YET)lol Yeah he trains, but he doesnt train hard! WOOHOO he has a solid chin. Why do we all know that? Because he gets punched on 10x more than his opponent because he has lost his killer instinct. Watch the Tom Aaron fight on youtube specifically rd 1. How many strikes did Eric throw? How many did he land? Was that round WEC of UFC worthy? Eric is well rounded at practice! But in a fight he is one deminsional.

[Tony Davis 2009-05-13 09:09:19]:

And why do you think Vega goes out to train with Jamie Varner?  He knows what he has to do if he wants to be at that level.  As for Marriott, I don't know what fights you have been watching but I have trained with him several times and he definately has what it takes to make it to the big show. Solid chin, strong and slick on the ground, and he's obvioulsy in fight shape. Didn't you watch the war he had at the last X Fights?  He went three rounds and got fight of the night. Your right though, he must not be in shape.

I think everyone gives Eric so much so because yes he looks great in fights and puts and awesome show on. Trust im one of his biggest fans. But i think his closest friends know his true potential and it is nowhere near what you guys have seen. That i can promise. That kid is a true beast when he is at his best. On his worst day he still beats most people.

[MWK 2009-05-19 03:21:18]:

Joe is dead on in his assesment on Marriott! He is one of my best friends also and I promise you nobody gives him the truth more than Joe and I but so does Bria Davidson James Krause and every other training partner he has. Bottom line you know in your own heart if you had a good fight! But sometimes enough people telling you the wrong thing can convince you that your doing fine when your truley not. Joe didnt say anything on here he hasnt said to Erics face.

When Eric is in shape and fights his game he is a 145lb contender in any organization period! That is the bottom line!!! Vega will be in a big organization also some day, Tom Aaron has that potential, Brian Davidson does, Rudy Bear, Zack Cummings, Jeb Chiles is 9-0 and Aaron Derrow will be on a big show as soon as he gets the pro fights under his belt.  Others have a great chance but its the opportunity you create for yourself and when that opportunity arrives are you ready and prepared! There are a ton of good fighters in MO and in this next year there are definatly some that will stand out more than others and make big steps into the big shows.

Fighting for X-Fights is a huge opportunity to grab a Strike Force contract and that show is right here in KC then soon it will be in STL. Thats the opportunity im talking about.

MWK...great points. I think this fight...is probably the biggest in the history of the midwest (aside from the UFC even in chicago). This is an opportunity for somebody...one of these guys to change their life forever.  Man...it's good to see KC finally get a chance...

Joe thats one reason all your crew continues to get better, you can't only hand out compliments and expect them to get better.

I think there are alot of guys that could make it in the UFC. The key is where you train. I have alot of respect with all our local gyms and am friends with most the owners and coaches but the its not really the training and push that you get at the bigger gyms, mainly the cardio workouts. Of all the workouts i have seen Arizona Combat Sports has some of the best cardio i've seen along with Lionheart MMA. Not that i don't think that is holding back any of the local guys from making it, just saying a larger majority could with that level of training.

I definately wouldn't say Joe was selling anybody out. If anybody know our crew, then they would know that we are hardest on each other and truthful to each other. That is what drives us, EACH OTHER.  If i won a fight and didn't perform up to my potential, i need my friends to be real with me and let me know that i need to step it up. Joe has been to and seen more fights in the past 5 years than most people i know, and to not be an actual fighter has some hella dedication to the sport. His knowledge would blow mine away and i even have a couple fights. So just keep in mind that your TRUE friends will be real with you and hold it down for you at the same time!!

lol Actually he is. He is also my employee, and also my best friend. If the people close to you cant keep it real why have them around? Krause is a good friend as well, after his boxing match with Mabin everyone was saying oh good job Krause you almost had him. Well not me, I made sure he knew my take on the fight. If you cant express yourself truthfully you are the coward.

I know this forum is meant to hype its promotion and give credit to the athletes on their card so I've deleted my post. I stand by it though and I just had Eric read it so the hear say wouldnt go to far.
