On Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada, Brock Lesnar proved to be too much for the more experienced Randy Couture.  Lesnar earned a 2nd round victory in Saturday night's showdown to solidify him as the heavyweight champion. 

Lesnar is young, powerful, and has quickly become one of UFC®'s most feared fighters.  With a distinct size advantage, and an excellent wrestling background, Lesnar seemed in control most of the bout.  Brock Lesnar silenced all critics who felt he shouldn't have the opportunity to fight for the championship given the bout was just his fourth MMA match.  The former NCAA heavyweight wrestling champion threw numerous shots towards a seemingly defenseless Couture before referee Mario Yamasaki had no choice but to intervene.  Regardless of the prefight opinions, Brock Lesnar is your new UFC® heavyweight champ.
