Extreme 2 Fight by Fight Preview

The X-Fights is a premier fight organization that offers Submission, Knock out, and fight of the night bonuses. The X-Fights is in direct affiliation with Strike Force®, and will be offering one fighter from the Extreme 2 fight card a Strike Force® contract at the conclusion of the evening. Strike Force® is one of the largest mixed martial arts organizations in the world, and this is an excellent chance for one of our very own fighters to be seen on Showtime® and CBS®.

Bobby Voelker vs Tom Aaron at 170lb

This fight features two of the top fighters in the state, and the Kansas City vs St. Louis rivalry is sure to bring lots of hard hitting action. Both fighters will aim to leave there opponents lying unconscious after they bang it out in our main event of the evening. Bobby Voelker is coming off a huge win over UFC® veteran CJ Fernandez in his X-Fights Debut in January. Tom Aaron is ready to regain his momentum by avenging his first ever loss coming at the hands of a very seasoned veteran Eric Marriott.

Eric Marriott vs Tim Bazer 145lbs

Eric comes into this fight with an iron chin, solid stand up, and a nasty ground attack. His eyes are on the Strike Force contract, as well as the Knock out of the night bonus. In his X-Fight debut, Marriott won the honors of fight of the night. Tim Bazer refuses to go down easy, as he’s never been knocked out. Tim is a stand and bang fighter who has fought people at every level in this game… with great success. Tim looks to show his skills, and prove to everybody in attendance that Eric Marriott can, and will be knocked out.

Rudy Bears vs Ted "Red" Worthington 170lbs

Rudy is a very impressive fighter, with a great stand up game and an underrated ground game. Rudy is carrying at least one professional title belt, and will face off with a very tough opponent in Ted "Red" Worthington. Red is a man that fears nobody’s stand up or ground attack. Red is willing and able to take the fight any direction Rudy wishes to go. This should be one hell of a fight!

Roy Babcock vs Nicholas Nolte 170lbs

This fight is years in the making! Nick and Roy were scheduled to fight a couple times as amateurs… yet something always prevented the fight from happening. Both are known for heavy hands and huge hearts… and, when those types of fighters meet, it’s always makes for a great show! This is really a fight to keep your eye on, as both of these guys are fully prepared and confident they’ll come out victorious.

Jose Vega vs Sam Thoa 135lbs

The 135lb class is stacked in the Mid-West, but Jose Vega undoubtedly stands above the rest. Standing and banging, or subbing people…it makes no difference to Jose Vega. So, we brought in Sam Thoa… a lightning fast striker with solid jujitsu. Sam has an excellent record, and both are in search of the Strike Force® Contract.

Deryck Ripley vs Eric Wisley 155lbs

Deryck has fought every level of fighter in the cage, and welcomes all challengers. With a very slick ground game, and a drastically improved stand up game, he will be very difficult to defeat. Wisley is extremely talented on the ground, and constantly brings a challenge to anybody who steps in the octagon with him.

Brian Davidson vs Benjamin Nogueras Jr. 145lbs

One of the most anticipated fights on the card because both of these fighters have lethal hands and legs. These warriors were supposed to fight early in there amateur careers, yet fate saved them for the X-Fights! Neither fighter is a stranger to aerial and acrobatic striking…which comes from any angle! This fight has the potential to be an all out stand up battle! Keep your eye on this one…

Jeb Chiles vs Base Basvic 205lbs

We have two big men at 205lbs, and both move like light weights. If you want to see some hard hitting be sure to watch this one in full detail! Jeb has ended 5 of his 8 fights in vicious knockout style. Base Basvic looks to redeem himself from a three round battle in Extreme 1. Both fighters are quick on their feet, and this fight has potential to be ‘knock out of the night’.

Chris Andrade vs Mike Goodman 145lbs

In one word…this fight could be described as ‘vicious’. These guys are both known for their ground and pound styles, and both search to end this fight with a big time knockout. Some fighters prefer to sit back, and pick and choose…these guys like to attack, and that’s exactly what we hope to see!

DJ Bland vs Dean Johnson 170lbs

DJ is Undefeated at 5-0. Two of his wins came by way of knock out, but fighting Dean Johnston should be a whole different ball game for DJ. DJ is making his pro debut, but seemed extremely confident in his pre-fight interview. Bland, who comes from a small town in the south brings a big game and intends on coming out victorious in Extreme 2. Dean is a solid fighter on the ground and on his feet. He respects everyone he faces in the cage, but that respect comes at a high cost! He throws every punch & kick in the book…with very bad intentions! If that’s not good enough…he can very easily end the fight with a plethora of submissions!

Aaron Derrow vs Judd Prettyman 155lbs

Judd Prettyman claims to be a premier stand up fighter from the KC area. He’s earned 6 KO's, and also had a boxing record of 5-0. Aaron Derrow is well known for his sick ground attack… with 8 out of his 11 wins ending by way of submission. Mr. Derrow ensures the X-Fights his stand up game is also strong, and he looks to leave his X Fights debut with a victory.
